It’s official now. Yesterday, September 7, 2014, the lower Priority Mail rates introduced by the U.S. Postal Service® (USPS) have gone into effect.
And now is the time that online retailers should start hanging up the streamers and throwing the confetti. With the price change in effect, e-tailers have the opportunity to save BIG, especially if they typically ship packages heavier than five pounds.
For instance, those who choose USPS Priority Mail (over FedEx or UPS) to ship a package weighing between five and ten pounds will see $3.12 average dollar savings per package over the holiday season (November to December 2014). And if you ship 50 packages per day, you could see up to $9,516 in savings with USPS Priority Mail!
