Endicia Comes to LA with First-Ever User Conference

Maybe it’s the fact that we were founded by a couple of engineers, but Endicia has always been about solving real, everyday problems. As part of that, we try to learn as much as we can from our customers. What business challenges are they grappling with? How do they work with the U.S. Postal Service? What can we do to help them succeed?

That’s why for the past three years we’ve gotten a handful of customers into a room together so they can tell us about their struggles, successes and ideas. The insight we gather then inspires our product roadmap, so we can continue to deliver services that help businesses overcome their biggest challenges. This annual gathering is called our customer council, and this year’s council came with a twist. For the first time ever, we hosted a User Conference to present on a variety of topics affecting ecommerce businesses.

The event kicked off in the lovely Los Angeles Airport Marriot with a keynote from our co-founder Amine Khechfé. Amine gave some background on Endicia’s history with the U.S. Postal Service, and shared how Endicia has grown from PC postage provider to shipping technology powerhouse, going so far as to offer tools to streamline international shipping.

From there, the conference broke off into 3 main tracks for customers to choose from – international shipping, growing your ecommerce business and best practices for domestic shipping.

Endicia and its partners presented on topics ranging from global selling and importing to online returns and order management. Customers had a chance to learn new tricks and techniques to tackle items like harmonized tariffs, pre-paid duties and taxes and juggling a business on multiple storefronts.

After lunch, customers had the option of attending a panel discussion on Endicia updates and features. The panel gave customers an opportunity to talk about the challenges they often face when shipping and ask questions about Endicia’s capabilities to meet those challenges.

The event then closed with a cocktail hour, allowing Endicia customers to mingle in a more relaxed setting and giving them a chance to visit our partners’ exhibit tables.

That’s it for this year’s West Coast User Conference! If you’re an Endicia customer based on the East Coast, our User Conference will be coming to Philadelphia on July 27. Visit our event page to register.

Are you a growing ecommerce business struggling with a particular challenge? Let us know what it is in the comments, and we’ll aim to address it here.
