In the month of September, the USPS restored mail service to 13 international destinations, including five that were restored just this week. Though many countries have once again opened their borders to international mail, postal services across the globe are still altering their services to adapt to the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Below are the changes to USPS service as of September 25, 2020.
International mail services have faced many logistical challenges due to lack of transportation, as a result, the USPS has suspended mail to the international destinations listed below. The USPS has not suspended any domestic services, however, some delivery commitments have been extended by one day.
USPS Priority Mail
Priority Mail packages with two and three-day delivery commitments have been extended an extra day to three and four days respectively. Priority mail packages with local one-day delivery commitments will remain the same. Customers using Priority Mail express will still receive standard end-to-end tracking.
