United States Postal Service Launches New Interactive Online Dashboard at National Postal Forum as Part of Its “Watch Us Deliver” Campaign

Have you ever been curious about the number of miles the United States Postal Service® travels each year? Or the number of mail pieces that it processes in a day? You can find the answers to both those questions as well as several other fun facts about the USPS on the new interactive online dashboard that the Postal Service™ launched at this year’s National Postal Forum.

The online dashboard serves as the centerpiece of the Postal Service’s “Watch Us Deliver” campaign, which aims to bring awareness to its enhanced package delivery service.

How has the USPS® been stepping up its game? To stay competitive, the USPS has introduced services like free package pick-up, improved tracking technology (up to 11 scanning points from sender to receiver), and Sunday delivery. And these efforts seem to be paying off since the USPS reported that package volumes have increased about 30 percent in the past five years.

In addition to live counters, including one that tracks the number of Sunday package deliveries to date, you’ll find several fun facts sprinkled throughout the dashboard. For example, did you know that the hottest U.S Post Office is located in Death Valley, CA with a record high temperature of 134 degrees Fahrenheit? The coldest USPS post office is in Wainwright, Alaska where there is as record low of minus 57 degrees.

And as an added bonus – the dashboard includes a live-streaming video of two American bald eagles named “Independence” and “Franklin” and their adorable baby. You can’t argue that the USPS doesn’t have a sense of humor!
