June 4, 2013 marked an exciting day for Endicia. This is the day we unveiled our “new-old” name and new visual identity at the Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition in Chicago.
For those of you who know us as DYMO Endicia – we are still a subsidiary of Newell Rubbermaid and we still have the same great relationship with our sister company DYMO – but we no longer bear the DYMO name.
We made this change partly because you, our customers and partners, told us that having the DYMO name in front of Endicia was confusing. Returning to “Endicia” and going through the process of designing a new visual identity allowed us to rediscover and refresh who we are, what we stand for and where we are going.
Our new symbol, the cornerstone of our identity, is a stylized “e” wrapping around a globe. This combined with the word “endicia”, all lower case, makes up our new visual identity.
We chose this symbol because it evokes the connections Endicia enables between businesses and customers the world over and it embodies our vision, which is to transform global commerce through intuitive shipping solutions. It’s also a solid link back to our beginnings where the “E” in Endicia represents “electronic-indicia” and “ecommerce” and provides a nice connection between us and the industries we serve. From the earliest days of shipping software to the sophisticated integrations expected today, and having just passed the $10B in postage printed milestone, Endicia continues to lead the industry.
At Endicia, our mission is to deliver value by creating breakthrough shipping technologies and services that help global businesses, small and big, reach their customers and thrive. This has been our mission since day one and we strive to meet this goal each and every day through collaboration and innovation. We collaborate with you to anticipate your changing needs as your businesses scale and expand. We exist to help you through these challenges as effortlessly as possible. And, through innovation, we stay ahead of the trends so you don’t have to.
Moving forward, the Endicia platform will continue to evolve and we will continue to transform shipping for the global community through a dynamic ecosystem of innovative technologies, long-term partnerships and a deep commitment to our customers. This is core to who we are.
One of my favorite themes that came out of this re-branding process is: The Internet fuels global commerce; shipping enables it. And, while we know that shipping can be complex, our goal is to simplify your lives and business operations so you can focus on doing what you do best – we call it Simplexity!
We are glad that you are a part of our story.
